Basic Rules

Welcome to The Gladiator's Coliseum Co-Op Tournament!

Here is what you need to know...for now:

• There will be a maximum of 30 players.
  
• Heroes will be assigned, for each player via a draw, for the whole tournament.
  
• There will be 2 missions per normal week and 3 for the Final week.
  
• Each normal week, players have the responsibility of getting together in teams of 3. The next week, players cannot have anyone from their team from the previous week (but they can be from the week before that).
  
• Teams will be joined by a judge, who will record, or just watch if a player records the Mission. Judges do not fight or steal.
  
• A judging panel will give out points based on the team put together, individual teamwork, individual ability to survive, individual ability to pay attention to the needs of teammates and self, and final score for the overall team. As the weeks progress, the judges will have a smaller pool of points to give out, so the players must work harder to earn the points.
  
• Cheating is not tolerated!!! Anyone who attempts to cheat by faking a crash will sit out that week and receive 0 points. No shows will also receive 0 points. Multiple times of cheating or failing to show up will lead to disqualification, and possible denial for future tournaments and contests.
  
• If your team has a no show, cheater, or dropout, you will receive a stand-in player who will use the hero your other teammate would have used. This will not count against the rest of the team.
  
• You are allowed to practice, but judges cannot help you practice, so please don't ask.
  
• You only get one shot at your missions, unless there is a legitimate crash as determined by the judge. Regardless of what happens, do not leave the mission unless the judge does!!! The judge is in charge and knows what he or she is doing (presumably)
  
• Your mission judges are Volcanic Torch Manatee, Miss Planetary Girl, Cunning Omega Lady, Astral Tornado Mariner, Smashing Clown Juggler, Bright Breaking Ghost, Astounding Super Bird, and Winter Wraith. Do not use a judge not listed!!! Only they have the correct rules. You can find these judges, typically, here.

Prizes are as listed:

• 1st Place: 750 gold + Iceman or a HeroUp potion
  
• 2nd Place: 450 gold + Iceman or a HeroUp potion
  
• 3rd Place: 375 gold + Iceman or a HeroUp potion

[NOTE: Iceman will be given to the highest finishing player who does not have Iceman, even if it must go outside the top 3; the remainder of the top 3 or just the top 2 will each receive a HeroUp potion]

The tournament will be approximately 7-8 weeks, beginning July 7th. Each week will start as soon as the missions are posted, and will end that Saturday at 11:59PM CST.

There will also be a prelude week to lock in the official roster!!! You will be contacted about this after 30 players have entered or the sign up deadline of July 1st has been reached.
